This is a presentation of the Twingly Blogstream API. The API lets you access blogpost data that is related to a specific page or website. To use the API you must have a valid API key. If you don't have a key, get in touch with Twingly Sales.

The API exposes its functionality in two different ways, through a webservice interface and through regular http-requests. Below is an overview of the http-request interface, what parameters there are and how to use them. The API key used in the examples below is a demokey and has restricted usage.

restrictBlog - Removes posts from the given blog for future requests.

Example. The following request will remove the blog http://www.twingly.com/ from subsequent queries made by the given user.
http://api.twingly.com/blogstream.ashx?key=&id=&op=restrictBlog

Arguments used with restrictBlog:

key
Parameter key must be supplied inorder to access the database. The key is supplied by Twingly.

Example.
key=A74E2DA4-DF14-4880-A8E0-70AAA9DE0981
id
Parameter id is used to specify which blog that should be restricted.

Example.
id=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.twingly.com%2F (http://www.twingly.com/)
Observe the urlencoded argument.
cmt (optional)
Parameter cmt is used to add a comment to the restriction.

Example.
cmt=This is a bad blog.

unrestrictBlog - Unrestrict a restricted blog so that future requests will include post from the formerly restricted blog.

Example. The following request will allow the blog http://www.twingly.com/ to be included in subsequent queries made by the given user.
http://api.twingly.com/blogstream.ashx?key=&id=&op=unrestrictBlog

Arguments used with unrestrictBlog:

key
Parameter key must be supplied inorder to access the database. The key is supplied by Twingly.

id
Parameter id is used to specify which blog that should be unrestricted.

Example.
id=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.twingly.com%2F (http://www.twingly.com/)
Observe the urlencoded argument.

getRestrictedBlogs - Get a listing of restricted blogs for the given customer.

Example. The following request will result in a list of all restricted blogs for the customer with the given API key.
http://api.twingly.com/blogstream.ashx?key=&op=getRestrictedBlogs

Arguments used with getRestrictedBlogs:

key
Parameter key must be supplied inorder to access the database. The key is supplied by Twingly.

Example.

ping - Pings the Twingly system.

Example. The following request will will ping the Twingly system with the url www.twingly.se.
